First Strawberries

    Mine are in the ground against a south facing wall of the house, a nice little sun trap.. but they're still all green :(

    Just had our first "cream tea" with ours.:wink: We just love them with "extra thick" cream. Apologies to any Devonians.:wink:

    Honestly dont remember... The labels got lost last year the two varieties got mixed up. and then there was runners everythere last year... Bad mangement I guess .....

    I'm not going to say mine were two weeks earlier cos the other half ate all the evidence! Been a good year for strawbs and most fruit in general, the harsh winter has done wonders.

    I've also had my first strawberry crop, have had about 3 punnets from 2 pots in the last fortnight (they're loving the sunny weather here in the South West). I only planted them around Easter.

    I didn't note which variety of plant I've got either :dh:

    Strawberries are almost finished, but I managed to pick a small bowl full this morning..
