What's Looking Good in July...!!!!

The leaves of my plants are looking very lush but the flowers are looking very sorry for themselves :(

Clemetis is do fine as well.

 

There seems to be a lot of these as well.

 

That Crocosmia is a beauty Bob - should it grow to 6ft? Mine are just starting at a tiddly 2ft or so.

I love the way that rock rose looks as if someone has come along and crumpled it up and then spread it out again. It almost looks as if it's made of paper.

Great looking poppy (?) Mef. I love poppies.

My dark pink Bougainvillea is coming along nicely by the gate (well, the gate has been temporarily removed) ...

 

I still love you Crocosmia ... it grows wild here but not to your standard of beauty.

Maybe you can grow Bougainvillea where you are ... in your most southerly facing, protected position ... worth a try?

I have eight of them now in different colours and hopefully will be posting them this year, well, several of them. I usually only post the one, this is my second of the climbing ones and I do have one bush one. They take several years to establish even here.

 

Yeah, lovely colours BobJ! Wouldn't it be great to have Crocosmia 6ft tall, as Kryssy Kruger has suggested. Apologies, the "Kruger" in Kryssy is a little joke thang going on. :D
Everything Kryssy grows turns out to be "Tiddly" apparently.
And the Lady of Leisure has a habit of making many of us based here in the UK very jealous, what with her exotics!
Mind you BobJ, with the climate change going on, it may indeed be possible to culture Bouganvillea outdoors now, providing they are somewhat protected in the winter. You have to wonder?
