It's been beautifully wet and dreary here since last sunday, so the picture looks a bit dull, but i've got a delph out. It's earlier than i've had before.

I was wondering if anyone else had plants that seemed early, due to the recent months heatwave.

Very nice compostee. I've tried to grow them so often but never had any luck. I don't know why not as they grow in the neighbours gardens.

Just about everything seems to be early, I came back from holiday on 21 April to find roses had bloomed, there is now a mass of soggy dead heads waiting a break in the weather.
Here are a few other earlies, taken 2nd May

These pelargoniums overwintered outside, no fleece or other protection

This gallardia bloomed until late november and is off again

and I'm sure this digitalis is early too.

I also had some bedding lobelia survive the winter now in bloom although now a bit straggly.
    Cheers MIKE
