Doesn't look like my Golden Showers I bought from Lidl, woo ... yours is lovely! The Mimulus is beautiful.

Mmmmm, I love Lavender too ... besides in the garden, I have lavender incense and lavender furniture polish ... not that I do that often with the doors and windows open all the time and the dust blowing into every imaginable crack and crevice!

You're right Gogs, ours is flowering at the moment too. Over here they call it American Lilac. Roders, it smells like honey, have you noticed yet?

When we were in England recently I noticed that it is very popular over there in both the pale and the dark colour. We have the dark one like you have roders, the pale doesn't give much of a show unlike the dark which is brilliant in the sun.

Hi bobj, your Ceanothus really does look poor but give it a chance please. Last year ours had no end of brown leaves after the winter and I wondered if we would loose it, but no, it recovered and is blooming better than ever this year. Fingers crossed that yours only needs time to get used to the new place and repays you next year with masses of flowers.

Hi bobj, do the bark check, s****e a small bit of bark off with your thumb nail, from a couple of sections of the lower . Any signs of green stem, your ceanothus is alive. Cut out any dead stems just above a section that's showing green. It's struggling to settle it's feet and keep all the top growth alive. Fingers crossed.
