I've held off for a while because I thought that the scheme had died. When I know a bit more of what is intended I'll resume.

On 3 January Nathan asked for more ... in the nicest possible way!

HB, what would make you think "the scheme" had died. It possibly went to sleep because there aren't many things blooming at the moment ... I hate to say, certainly not in the UK or other parts of Europer at the moment!

However, I'm sure we can dig things up from our archives. Mine are current but I am in a different situation.

If I remember correctly, Nathan said this would not be "up and runnning" until probably the Spring. Maybe I am wrong ... I often am ...

No your memory is correct Lol - Nathan did say something like that. When the new web page is all sorted, I shall look forward to browsing that library.

I really need to check to see if I have any more - keep forgetting to do it.

I said in August (has it been that long !!!) that I would sort something within 1-2 months ........ Work has been quite busy though, and things have to take priority unfortunately.

Be aware, I am on the case ....... Only a bit slower

HB, the use of the gallery is for reference by users only, so outside users that are not members will not have access to this area (this also prevents Google and other search engines, crawling for pictures ie on Google images and using them for their use ;) ).

But surely non users will become users of GC if they Google for flower photos and find us via Google.

Correct, but they will have to join, once joined, if images are used by them, at least I have a fighting chance of tracing them etc, if the images are being used in any other way but personal.

I may even take copy image away, so that the pics cannot be saved to a third parties pc.

All these things need to be addressed, when the time comes to upload all the pics into the gallery.

I have a fair few now, so at least there is something to begin with. My problem was going to be starting a gallery with no pictures in it, which is not what I wanted, so at least I have some to start with and it will not be empty [IMG] .

As the gallery gains momentum, I will have more of an idea what I have to do to upload to my GC hosted space (as I have not had to do this ..... Yet! [IMG] ).
