Turf

    Please can anyone advise me on the price of about
    15 metres of turf,thank you.:help:

    15 metre strip of turf?

    or

    15 square metres?

    First work out the AREA you wish to cover (Ie. width x length)

    It was £2.52 a roll in B&Q a couple of weeks ago. For about 1 sq mtr.

    I've heard that the Rolawn Medallion stuff is really good.

    In my previous house I used B&Q turf which was OK. I actually only paid 50p per roll as it was yellow (ish) but it soon greened up.

    In my current house I turfed over some of the front garden using turf from a local farm which had just been cut and it was far far better than the B&Q turf.

    I think it depends to a degree on how "fresh" is the turf you buy. I've bought quality turf before and it's been rubbish.

    I've got mine from B&Q, there's no ryegrass in it, but I find out what day it's being delivered and call in late on that day.
    Sometimes the stuff can be hanging around on a pallet for days. Can't do it any good.
