Here we go... help!

    Hi, I've got a bunch of shrubs and after going through many books I just cannot identify them. They start to look similar to one type for example but then the leaf will be the wrong shape.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Noiseycat, :scratch: Well I have been looking &n these are my thoughts on your shrubs, but I am sure others will be along soon..

    1. Could be a Camellia..

    2. Hydrangea..

    3. Escallonia on left, not sure what the main shrub is though..

    4. ??

    5. Smoke Bush..

    6. Wigelia..

    7.. Could be a bird Cherry..

    8. A different Wigelia I think..


    Hope that helps a bit.. have a google at the names I have suggested.. :thumb:

    Hi Noisy cat. I'll give you my thoughts. I can be corrected happily by the others if need be :)

    1. - Rose

    2 - Hydrangea

    3. - Mint

    4 - Some sort of creeping conifr Sorry don't know the name....sorry

    5. - Smoke bush (Cotinus)

    6- - Weigela

    7 - I don't know but it is not Rhododendron

    8 - Weigala different form from the first (I think)

    No 5 looks a lot like my Berberis :scratch:

    4. Don't do conifers but could be Taxus
    5. Berberis thunbergia atropurpurea
    6. Weigela florida folis purpureis
    7. Amelanchier
    8 Weigela, probably Bristol Ruby
