Hiya, My lemon meyer tree has lost nearly all its leaves in a very short time, the touble is that it has recently been watered, and now the water can't evaporate. What can I do to help it retain the rest of its leaves and flowers. Its in a very heavy pot and is has grown to about 2ft high.If it looses all its leaves it will rot in the wet soil!!Any help is apreciated.

Hi Sunshine. Last year my own lemon just totally lost it. I'm not too sure about the meyer hybrid but a month later my lemon just started growing again. I suggest you just make sure it is well drained and doesn't meet frost. i.e. keep it fairly warm (in plant terms). Not knowing the strain that's the best I can do.

Stand the pot on a thick newspaper.
Quite often you can draw excess moisture out, in a similar way to capillary matting but in reverse, if that makes sence. [IMG]

Thanks. That's also what a friend suggested, so will try standing on newspaper after trying to remove from pot.
