Just bought one from Lidl. It's 5ft tall with 10 healthy fronds but didn't come with instructions.

Before I google does anyone have repotting and sun/shade advice?

Not sure whether buying one of these is a good idea as they naturally come from coastal tropical regions and will not grow well or at all away from them, short term I think. Best of luck with it.

They will not survive in the house much longer than a year they have to be outside but not in this country. [IMG]

on another forum , I know a group of guys bought them to see who's would last the longest. As you guys have said not longer than a year.

Even the lady tending them at B&Q made the same joke. Cocos Nucifera , a pain to keep alive. They hate central heating, need a lush tropical humid environment to stand a chance.

The specimen in question is now deceased but to be fair a large, ginger cat contributed when he decided to shred all the leaves one afternoon.
