dq, i do hope you get something sorted. It will be such a shame to have to take those up.

One thing i was interested about that you didn't seem to answer (i may well have missed it) was about the 'kick boards'. It looks to me like you have one of those free standing kitchens, is that right?

Keep on asking dq, you never know what people may have lying around or will have seen it somewhere. Know it must be a pain though, cos you just want it finished don't you? Good luck.

    cheers

Hi borrowers, yes we`re having kickboards fitted .Stupid thing is we planned the kitchen around the flooring choosing cream because it went with the terracotta  .Looks like we`re heading down the vinyl road ,thats if cushion flooring is thick enough to cover over the grouting

If you haven't already - you could also try your local freecycle group - http://www.freecycle.org/ - it's best if you can find something to offer before you post a want.
Also maybe try junkk.com, don't know how established they are yet but they were starting a freecycle-style exchanges board I think.
Good luck, that must be awfully annoying. I had the opposite problem with my kitchen in a way, it turned out to be slightly smaller than the builder said it was going to be so I had to modify the design a little - but you always do work round things in the end.
It seems an awful pity to cover up or remove those nice tiles but I guess you've got to do what you've got to do - unless you can use totally different tiles and make it look like that was what you meant to do all along, as someone suggested a page back or so? Kind of a mosaic maybe?

Hi dq, so glad you managed to get sorted. I've been watching this thread to see what happened.

You definately have to post some pics of your finished kitchen now, after all we saw the before now we want the after.

I think a few of us are having problems one way or another with the new forum. The thing is to tell WM about them & hopefully will get sorted.

    cheers
