    Hi all

I have received one of these (freebie) but i always (nearly) switch off at the plug socket for pc anyway. I have a surge protector as well.

I was wondering if i could use if for the tv, does anyone know?

The tv socket is behind tv, unit etc & awkward to reach so this would be really handy. what do you think?

    cheers

You can use the power surge protector for the TV plug of course borrowers. Is it a proper computer surge protector with a phone line protector as well? Most surges during storms come down the phone line and through the modem or router not the electric mains.

thanks Sarraceniac, it will be a big help cos the main tv is left on stand-by all the time!!

Yes it is a proper pc surge protector. I bought it at PC world when i bought pc etc. It is not plugged in to the socket, but the plugs for pc etc are plugged into that. Is that ok?
What with printer, modem, router, tv etc there are about 10 plugs altogether on extensions, but i have each extension plugged into surge protector.

Ooops, i just know you're going to come back & tell me off, aren't you? What am i doing wrong?

    cheers
