do you think of this site?

    www.WinkingSkull.com

I heard about it through BBC's click website. I would like to know if you think it is accurate.

I am on it but haven't a clue as to whether it's true or not. I know some misinformation comes through the net, and i don't need to be any more confused

Just wanted to know what people thought of it. Not just the doctors etc on here but ordinary people that have some knowledge too. I can't remember doing any biology at school - is that my long term memory going cos my short term doesn't work very well either [IMG]

    cheers

Just had a look borrowers - from a layman's eyes (mine) it looks as though it is an accurate site but I guess only a prof of anatomy would spot glaring errors.

I wish we had something like this when I was a vet student - for all the different species. There may even be some sort of anatomy teaching aid for vets now, I don't know. Computers were more steam driven when I was at college and the net wasn't the great tool it is these days.

I would imagine this site you have found would help medical students no end.

    A good find!

Just had a quick look. appears to be totally accurate.

Very useful for 1st year anatomy students. Not much good for amateurs. Not much to say. it does what it says on the tin.

Thanks for come back. I thought it would be good for non medical students to learn but it all goes over my head.

I'm sure it is a great help to medical students as well as lots of other sites etc, but then i can't even pronouce the names of some of the tablets we have to take although i do try to understand why we're taking them. Hence the interest in these type sites etc.

Thanks again, i thought if it was bbc click, it would be ok cos i've found them to be pretty good in the past.

    cheers

Oh boy oh boy, could I have done with something like this when I was doing my Orthopaedic study days for theatre staff! I instead I had to brush up my (non-existent) stills as an anatomical artist.

And yes, as Sarra says, it is totally accurate. Not only which is excellent! And what's more I signed up! Thanks for the link [IMG]

Iv, put it on my favorites to get back to lateras i'm wondering if it might offer greater insight into why i suffer so with back trouble and have done for 30yr. After all sorts of treatments physio and injections and xrays once i upset it thats it, i suffer for weeks until it settles down again. Look forward to perusing that one.

Sorry to hear that marionj, as i said i'm not into that at all, the biology stuff! I'm sorry to hear you've had years of pain. I know of someone else that has that. Really bad i know.

I like looking at things, not because i know about these subjects excatly the opposite. As i said i can't even remember having a history. bioligy, greograhpy lessons.

I hope you get some relief CM.

    cheers

You are all so good at understanding it.

Poor you david, not nice to have discomfort in the back especialy when we love to garden. Sometimes i feel like screaming with frustration because the old back wont let me go on any longer and theres loads i want to do. At the moment i'd love to turn the compost bin but my son will be moving home shortly and i'd like to be in some kind of fit state to be able to help. Grrr its so frustrating. Oh well its no use moaning about it, it wont help. Better to accept limitations gracefully, at least then you dont end up depressed and miserable. At least i can do my garden even if it is only a bit at a time and boy do i love doing it.

Yes bobj It was spinal inflamation that would'nt calm down, job related at the time. thats why i had to have the coxic injection, it was inside the spine itself. Harley street consultant did it. It cured the problem for a long while then apparantly I dislodged a tiny bone in the spine that got stuck and had to be manipulated back. Not a pleasant experience I might add. Sooo what with one thing or another with it, its easily upset these days. N'mind we plod on and do what we are able.
