I dont think maggie did it for me, it was TB.
Up until he came along you could still have a bit of freedom to do and say as you like, but thats all gone now.
I wouldn't mind all this regulation if things such as crime and one or two other things I'd better not mention, were actually getting better, but they are not.
Other part of the world do seem to have a more free and easy attitude to life, and have less crime.
Basically, I tend to think that its because a very large proportion of people in this country as so selfish and money grabbing, they will do what they want and sod the rest of us.

Perhaps I'm not over the hill, but after lifting sheets of 30mm MDF all day, sometimes I feel like it. :D

Neither for me, pete, but agree with Tony ... and I am a non-political person seriously.

I worked for the Grant Maintained Schools HQ for two years as the Personnel/Legal Advisor ... I know, I know ... kill me now ... then had my own business working as a Contract Law Specialist in GM schools (for teachers) for a following two years).

The whole point of this is that Tony's kids went to GM schools as all may remember and there was mayhem about it from the LEAs. You send your kids to school where they get the best education ... he did ... in my opinion.

Funny thing, schools then basically went back to LEAs then went to becoming Independent ??????????????? I left the scene at that point (with a massive earnings drop) and became a simple Receptionist in the airline industry ... far less hassle. :D :D

David, no, never got anything like that ... worked with the airline execs not the travel companies who give you freebies ... tell a lie ... I got a silver pen from SAS (Scandinavian Airline Services) and a Cross pen from the company I worked for. [IMG]

I like writing (whittering) and I like nice pens also to write with.

If you've got Blue Eyes, you're part Viking. As it happens, I've got brown eyes. Maybe I'm more Celt than you Dai :D

Hi mef, well, I guess that climbing trees comes in with "Knock Down Ginger". People are so quick to moan about kids letting off a bit of energy and mischeiviousness that they are inhibited from doing it. Where I live, if the kids climb trees the locals call the Police and say they're causing damage. Thankfully we can take them into the Forest and they can climb all the trees they want, make "dens" and do everything else that kids should be doing [IMG]

They tend to climb saplings around here, preferably ones that have just been planted.
But then if they dont kill them the summer drought will, or the coucil contractors with their strimmers.
So the council just keeps planting them and they just keep dying.
I suppose its a good way of disposing of unwanted council tax payments.

They obviously don't use protectors and watering kits when they plant then! :(

Strimmer gaurds, £50p each hardly extortionate but amazing how little they are used.

We(Parks Dept) use them and watering kits whenever a tree is planted and root barriers are sunk in if planted in verges.

Technically, David`s 50% Viking Pete, and cajary you don`t need blue eyes to be a Viking. Brown eyes will do just as well. And it`s Finnish/Swede John. :D [IMG]
