YDD does your fire work ? I want to lose the fireplace and do something similar to yours in our living room.

 

Hi BM long time no talk....its a gas fire, But wish we had bought an electric one,we had to get the chimney swept Twice, and to tell the truth it hardly gives out any heat when its on, just looks good, you can buy electric baskets and obviously the flame's false but its easier to install, its been in over 3 year, and if theres heavy rain soot still falls down, not big clouds of it, just odd lumps, but its a clart on :D

 

Not mine , but is this the latest in "Designer Trees" perhaps?

 

Are they lager bottles Gogs? Brilliant..

 

If they are Dee then there's sure to be one happy guy waiting to take the christmas tree down! :D

Ours is a gas effect to but I would like to recoup the floor space and make it less of a feature than it currently is. He he we still get bird debris down too.

 

My sister took her fire out BM, just has the square hole in the wall with candles in and electric lighting.. it looks great.. Bird Poo, yeah we used to get that, but since we put the chinese hat thing on the chimney pot, the birds can't sit there :D

 

I need to get one of those. Thanks YDD
