    Oh, water-garden, you have made me laugh, thank you!

    Having gone to school in Luton and then moving to the States, I returned to Luton as a "home base". Having not encountered "roundabouts" as drivers we arrived from the States in December 1977 and were completely mortified to encounter this shortly after our arrival! :eek: :eek: :eek:

    Once you got the hang of it, it was okay ... as long as everyone else had the hang of it!

    I once had to navigate the magic roundabout, not long after passing my driving test. It was a hair raising experience! I also didn't realise you could go round it in both directions, so I went the long way round. [​IMG]

    Hilarious, NW, I loved them all.

    Your magic roundabout was great too, water-garden, but I sure wouldn't like to drive around it - especially since it is all going on the wrong side for me. I'd have a heart-attack!

    Several years back I was working in the Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and spotted a sign on a door that the signwriter had spaced thus...THE RAPIST...:D
