There I was taking pics of the starling invasion every afternoon,

When another two different kinds of birds appeared in the sky, sadly not a common sight over Kent these days,
Anyone recognise the sillohette, (cant spell that word)

Looks like they could be the silhouettes of a couple of spitfires there's a couple that go about doing displays.

They could be part of the Battle of Britain display. They are a Spitfire, a Hurricane and a Lancaster - the only flying one left. Here's a badly zoomed shot of them at Airday a couple of years ago...

Yes your right, it was a couple of Spitfires, unmistakable in the sky, and with a sound all their own.

I actually have some very good closeups of the threesome taken over Bucks (we were a hop, skip and jump from Halton) and from the IoW ... but they not digital. My Dad flew a Spitfire so it's sort of whatsit ...

My favourite is the Vulcan ... [IMG]

Really would have liked to have flown a plane, but never got the chance.
One day I might try one of those trial flying lessons if they'll let me. :D

I was actually edgy in planes when we were coming to Portugal because I couldn't see what they were doing .. I say "was" as I've not been in a plane for years. T'other half always said to me that I couldn't cope with flying because I wasn't in control .... TOO TRUE.

Try it, pete, it's a wonderful experience, and you'll NEVER want to have anyone fly you again ... believe me ... [IMG]
