    Hello everyone.
Just a quickie... I've noticed some raised dark areas on on the underside leaves of my pear tree. Is this scale and if so could you advice me what to use? I planted last autumn and don't want to lose it.
    Many thanks.

I dont think its scale, it look vaguely like some kind of rust but it seems a bit early.

Other than that, I dont have a clue:scratch:

Thankyou anyway. It's a mystery to me too. The two pears I have on the tree look very healthy, so I should be happy with that..

It's maybe about 6ft, I planted it last Autumn. I think it's a young tree.

Right so its first season, dont be surprised if the 2 pears fall off.

Wondering if it could just be a settling in problem that will go away later as the plant becomes established.

I was just wondering why this particular disease is called "black spot", it shows a distinct lack of imagination:flag::D
