Hi Kelly38. i had the same problem last year with my pear tree,i never got to naming the problem i just gave it a good spray of bug killer from Poundstretcher. this year (touch wood) all clear no marks on the leaves  in saying that there are no pears on the tree either:(.
as far as i have been informed i will require another pear tree for pollination to get a good harvest of pears. may plant another one next year:cool:. music.

Thankyou. I was thinking the same about buying another tree. I wonder also whether the late frost got my blossom?

Hi Kelly 38. you could be correct the late frost and the severe cold weather we had ,as i had no blossom this year on the pear tree, but a wonderful show of green and a pink tinge on some leaves the tree looks excellent just as a tree, so i will leave it and purchase a second one next year.on the other side of the coin i have two apple trees and they are laden with potential fruit:cool:
