I was on another site and was trying to tell someone that they should try this site. I got a really snotty reply that I wasn't allowed to do that. Anybody know why? I thought the 'net was for a free exchange of ideas etc. Dizzi, am I being naive?

Sorry Cajary was out at pub myself!! Had left computer on cause it was running a virus scan. Hmm whilst I agree with you, each forum makes it's own rules, there are no overall laws that govern every website, otherwise there would be no nasty sites out there. I like this forum because it is so friendly and open and almost unique in this quality, you have to make your own judgements about each site I guess. By the way - good luck for tomorrow, I'm sure it will all go well and big congratulations to your daughter

Cajery I guess the moderators would be the best to answer your concerns. I have been a member of gc for over a year now and recently opened my own forum although mine is art related for my water colours i am in no way competition with gc and i dont advertise my place on here, my website i do for everyone to see my water colours although i have them in sections here. guess i have the best of both worlds

I was using another site for a year or so and it was great, however, the site started to get people putting on unpleasant ads and general smut. Just before this occured a member from here visited the site and said to one and all if anyone would like to come over to here. I can't remember who it was who asked us if we would like to try this site, but I did and the rest is history!
