I can`t help as I am useless at colour coordination but my wife is good at that sort of thing,I`ll ask her when she gets in.

White or red. Just had our bathroom gutted and done floor to ceiling white tiles with slate grey border and 4 slate grey inserts, slate grey ceramic tiles on floor. Crome shower over shower bath with curved glass screen, stainless steel mirrored cupboard and toilet roll holder. Have gone for red towels and red bath mat, with red planter on window sill with alocasia amazonica in.The whole room looks bigger now and mimilist, white wall tiles are large 14" ones. Duel push button loo and nice sink, bath taps pencil mixer and sink taps pencil hot and cold all crome.

I'm afraid I can't really be of help, dq, as we tile our walls up to the ceiling here. Like you, we have tiny border tiles but for both bathrooms they are multi-coloured, one pastel, one primary so that you can use any colour towel.

Personal opinion ... you mentioned "jadey" so you felt perhaps that may work. However about a turquoise which is softer? A light lavender would also work.

What a nightmare for you Dancing Queen. Still, if it is of any help I agree with LOL's suggestion of pale lavender. Sounds odd but when we were refurbishing a small hotel a few years ago we put in en-suites everywhere. One we did all chrome and modern and, like you, couldn't get the colour right. We had white tiles in the shower and half way up the walls. One day we tried a pale lavender and it just sprang to life. Actually, it wasn't that pale!! I kept the accessories either chrome/white/lavender - like litter bin, loo brush etc. Found a wonderful pot in Asda which was lavender with big chrome blobs - sounds awful but it fitted perfectly! The hand towels were the same lavender colour as the walls.

Hope this has been some help.

Hi DQ Have you got any photos you can put up to show us what everything looks like at the moment, then we might get an idea of what you are trying to achieve.Going back to the Jadey look, sometimes if you add white to the dark colour then sometimes it makes it lighter than the dark colour, though if you add it to red then you will get pink.Hope this helps you out [IMG]

Are you near the seaside as you are in cornwall? Why don't you go for a seaside theme? You could try to incorporate blue, green and turquiose. We live next to the sea and our bathroom is white with a seashell theme. :D

why not just paint the walls white and use accessories to add the colour? that way if you get bored of the colour all you need to do is replace the accessories and it'll feel like you've redecorated!
