    what is the best way to clean a matt not shiny gas cooker hob?

    Mrs Pal says..Hot water and a cotton cloth.
    Which is how she cleaned our Daughters oven last weekend in her new house.

    I use a leading supermarket lemon surface cleaner,much like jif or cif whatever you want to call it.Lightly worked in,washed off and polished with kitchen towel before it dries,don`t rub to hard as it is a mild abrasive.

    I was told by a very experienced cleaner who works in a hospital that leaving a thin film of oil (olive etc) helps to protect the surface. ;) Hope that is of help to you [​IMG]
