I have a downstairs toilet that I can't really afford to decorate (ie: take all the old tiles off and re-plaster etc) so I am thinking of painting them with special tile paint. Has anyone used this stuff before and do you have any tips on application etc?

    thanks,

    GP :D

Yes, it works as long as the tiles are well cleaned.
Not sure I like the effect though as the grouting ends up te same colour and to me does not look quite right.

Yes I have used this before too, I got one with a primer, but make sure you keep your windows open, its strong smelling stuff. I used white so the grout just looked white. One of my friends bought I grouting pen to go over old grout. It never really worked that well and she wishes that she has just left the grout painted.

I painted the tiles in my kitchen too. I found you get a much better finish if you use a gloss roller. (I wouldn't recommend using more than 1 colour though-I ended up masking off all 500 tiles individually!  [IMG] )
