Sorry I haven't had time yet to read through this whole thread. I just wanted to ask if you have written to the council planners that you have objections to the new plans?

It sounds like a horrible situation, I'm sorry to hear that its going to effect your enjoyment of your home and garden :(

    Hi there Kandy [IMG]

Just been catching up with your story, absoloutely disgusting. What is it with people who already have more than enough money,it`s as if money makes people lose all sense of morality and they are prepared to walk all over(in your case, deprive you of something you have worked hard for and enjoy) the less affluent, in their hunt for the pound.

Not much more I can say other than, good luck and keep lobbying.

How about neighbours who seem to have a fetish about bonfires...not near their own house of course.. but opposite other peoples so we can enjoy the smoke and smell in our homes!! I suppose this anti social behaviour will get worse if we have to pay for our rubbish to be collected by weight.. more folks will opt for this cheaper alternative..excuse me while I choke!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh goodness we have one of those neighbours too Eileen. Every year without fail he burns leaves, it got so bad last year that people on the road next to us had zero visability. We called the police and fore brigade and hes been cautioned from it.

    Inconsiderate nieghbours again!!!

This time the two boys are playing football up and down the passage way
between our houses. The noise is a real racket. The 'goal posts' being the door
at the end of the passage that cost us over £200 to put in.
    Two windows are already cracked.
When we asked them to stop they just told is to "go away" or words to that effect:eek:

What do you do to neighbours like these? Their mother says they can play where
    they like!

It is really out of the question at the moment to think of moving.

Can only sympathise jjordie, I dont know what the answer is with people like that, the more you let them know its a pain, the more they will do it.
If the parents wont do anything, I suppose you could try to get one of these plastic coppers we have these days, (not meant to be a nasty remark, just cant think what the official title is), and have a chat with them as to what you can do, as your property is being damaged.

As to moving, why should you even have to consider it, its your home, and you were there before them.
Dont know if its something the council could get involved in, but they tend to make all the right noises and achieve nothing.

    Thanks for your sympathy Pete!

Trouble is the passage way is shared so we can't stop them using it
and although we paid for the door I doubt the council will take
any action. I have heard that they were a problem family (tell me about it)
and several of their previous neighbours complained about them so much
they were moved next door to us.
The garden is a wilderness, their fences are broken through the kids just
vandalising them and rotting through lack of a bit of creosote or whatever
and the junk and rubbish round their back door and their front door has to
be seen to be believed. If the rubbish doesn't land in the dustbin when they
stand in the doorway and throw then it stays where it lands.

I really would like to sell and move away - anywhere!!!!!

Can you just complain like the others did until they move them again.
Is anyone else in the street afected by them?

If the crap is bad enough you could try the enviromental health people.

I know by doing all this it puts you squarely in the firing line and you need to be sure before you start any kind of complaining.
Thats why I ask if anyone else is finding them a problem, the more different people putting in complaints the better.

You have both mine and Mrs Pip s sympathy. As you probably are aware we had the same "my kids can do what they like" attitude from our previous neighbours. We complained to the association that they were renting from and were told that if it wasn t that family living there then it would be a family of a similar nature. We were fortunate that we sold up and got out when the market was still in our favour.

Just been reading the thread. It's awful how so many of us suffer from bad neighbours. It's dull and cloudy here today, if it were sunny then all the neighbours windows would be wide open and everything from Reggae to Rap would be belting out from most directions around me. I find I then have to shut myself indoors because it does my head in. So its not just the one set of neighbours here its several. You cannot complain around here because you end up with not just one tyre with a six inch nail in it but two or more so you cannot just put your spare on and get one repaired. Gave up in the end I now let others complain and keep myself to myself. It's a sad world we live in. All you who are suffering on here have my empathy.:(

    Inconsiderate neighbours again

Now that the weather is getting brighter the kids next door are playing up again.
Footballs coming over into our garden so Jack put one in the shed and said they
    couldn't have it back.

A very loud knock on our front door and father stood there demanding that I get
his son's football because Jack was refusing to let them have it back.
I said I was not surprised as we have had 3 panes of glass in the greenhouse
broken lately - the last time Jack was busy in the greenhouse so he knows the
ball came over from their garden. Father said it definitely wasn't them as he
    wouldn't let them do that.

Any way, had a word with hubby and took the ball back saying to father that this
was the last time it would be returned as we have had enough of broken windows
in the greenhouse. His reply? " I'm not listening - I don't want to talk to you".

Strange that he wanted to talk to demand the football back.

I just feel so frustrated because like you Moyra - you can't complain as
you know there could be consequences. If you mention telling the police they
just laugh because I suppose they know nothing will be done.

    :help:

Give the ball back every time Jjordie, just make sure it has a very small pin prick in it.
Dont argue with them, it just makes things worse.

    I sympathise but cant help.:mad::)

Jjordie, take Pete's advice - about the prick!

Actually, I think these days if you keep the ball you will be in trouble! I have been on the side of one of these incidents - was a few years ago. Nowadays, you have to be careful. If it keeps on, do like jjordie says - sneaky, but sure! Actually, I feel sorry for you mate.

    cheers

What a prick. Occasionally I get balls in but that's only occasionally-where I used to live it was constant-once when the kids came round I couldn't find it in the garden, I even invited them in to look themselves and guess what they couldn't find it either. Not surprised, I hid it in the kitchen.
