Oh reminds me of my first boyfriend - no not the beast, but the sentiment - he once bought me a present and said it was so dangerous he could not walk through the streets with it, turned out to be some kind of antilope mask, I still have it on the wall of our porch, in my student days we used to dry tea towels on it............OK so how many students know what a tea towel is!

I really should get round to selling my beasts on ebay, they make quite good money and I have several in the barn just collecting dust not to mention the bears!

Just a thought, but you would have needed very big tea towels to dry between his horns!

We used to have Stanley on our wall in Hemel, but he went to the auction as part of our move, and fetched about £200! :D He was a stag, btw.....

It was a modern house, with low ceilings, and the only place Mr D could find for him was right outside the loo!

The other thing we have is a cavalry sword, but I can't put up a photo of it, sorry :(

A fresh coat of paint, a couple of mirrors and a somewhat faded reproduction of a painting by Utrillo!
Personally I find such things as bear rugs, fox furs, fur coats, stuffed birds in glass domes and headhunters' trophies absolutely repulsive. I think the poor beasts deserve not to have their earthly remains paraded as ornaments. I feel a similar distaste when I see mummified corpses on show in museums.
