    Got a new bike for my birthday today it can go and its alot lighter than my old bike .

    This will give me exercise and shed pounds or give mean an appetite [​IMG]

    Thank you Roders my birthday was the 14th but coudl not get into look for new bike until today.

    Guess you could say celebrating again.

    No Dendy just trying to keep fit and with my foot problem can't walk as far as I used to with the pain so biking is perfect.

    Sounds a great idea, Scotkat - but I agree with MF - I wouldn't cycle out in traffic :eek: I'm lucky - we have the canal very near us, and can cycle any distance (and it's flat!!) Do you have somewhere suitable, or are you brave enough to go out into the traffic?

    Yes we have perfect laces to cycle and not too much trafic in fact going away out on it now.

    We want to go on some of the Cycle Scotland Paths are there any near you Dendy .

    We have not seen the Falkirk wheel yet and my brother-in- law has cycled the path adn says we would enjoy.

    Gosh its just after mid day was late in wakening with the time change guys.


    I would not drive in the speak .

    Just back brillant sunny day not quite 5miles just trying to get used to the new gears.

    Hoping to build up the miles and go out every day.

    Yes - come along and visit the Wheel! Our canal (the Union) joins the Forth and Cyde Canal there, it's only about 4 miles along the canal path from our house to get there! But there's a long tunnel, and you have to have a torch to go through it!! :eek:

    I certainly am trying to get and keep fit.

    Was out on my bike this morning first before I did my volunteer work at our local hospital which involves a lot of walking taking patients to clinic appointments.

    Just away to go out on my bike again since its turned out a nice afternoon.
