Not having a good time at the moment, then, HB? [IMG]

As Marge says, hope taking it easy just now lets you enjoy your skiing hols. I presume that means it's half-term down your way next week? The time teachers love, and parents hate - and if you're both, it sends you into a nervous breakdown! :D

oh yuck sounds horrid dendy - glad you can't catch it on line!

I lost 1 lb this week, it seems like an eternity getting below 10 stones, all very slow for me.

DAG you make me laugh over your chinese take away, you recount it all so guiltlessly.

Well overall I am not very pleased with myself despite loosing 1lb as I only managed one day without alcohol and I am trying to cut down on this allong with loosing weight. The problem is I just like it. I am not off to a good start today either as I am out tonight.

    I MUST BE GOOD!

That really IS a problem, Waco - and one I think most of us can relate to! :D

Enjoy yourself tonight - and don't feel guilty if you have too much - just be good the day after to make up! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Blondie - thats a great start! I lost 6lb in my first week and it seems a little disheartening when you then only loose a pound a week, but its better than putting it on.

Well done Blondie!! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

That's such a good start! It won't be like that every week, unfortunately, but it'll all be in the rght direction, and gradually getting used to eating in a healthier way. So here's to the next weeks!

    Hi Weigh-inners

I did not want to start my diet of at the beginning of the year because I had too many goodies that I could not bear to get rid of.

I am 158 cms (5ft 2") and currently weigh 69kgs. My ideal weight is 58kgs.

I have started to walk to work (4 miles each way) and I actually smile while I am doing it!

I am trying to lose weight by regular exercise and healthier eating (stop the sweet stuff).

I have an allotment and do lots each weekend, but it does not seem to keep the weight down, so maybe adding the walking will do it.

I am also aiming to drink at least 2 litres of water each day.

Anything else I need to do?

I will of course keep you posted on my progress.

Hey, badsal72, nice to see you joining us!

I'm at a standstill now but with some encouragement from these guys I may reach my goal which is within reach.

Two litres of water a day .. they say eight, but I agree with your two!

Just do as you feel comfortable doing, like the rest of us, and if you need help, there's always someone here.

Good luck in achieving what you want to.

Watched a programme call the truth about food on the beeb recently. They took identical twins, one drank 3 litres of water a day and the other drank a good deal less. They tested liver and kidney functions, skin elasticity before and after and found that drinking large quantities of water made no diffeence what so ever. Apparently most of your water intake can be got through normal eating etc. Which was a relief for me as that much water makes me feel incredibly poorly!

Hi, Badsal! Nice to have another new face on here!! The only extra thing is to join us here whenever you want!! We're very supportive :D

I don't believe in drinking masses of water - can't believe it's really good for you. There are lots of conflicting opinions on it, but I'd say 2 litres is a pretty good amount to drink.

Good luck with your target - and join us here regularly!
