Freecycling

Has anyone heard of this way to help save the planet?

 

Yes....there are various freecycle organisations, available via YahooGroups.
Since I live in London, the ones I subscribe to are:
CamdenFreecycle
FreeCycle London

 

I've been on the Livingston/ Bathgate one since I moved here - seems a very good idea.

 

Someone in the village here spotted an item she gave away at the Car boot sale two days later! :rolleyes:

 

I have often thought that some of the things given away would make a good living for someone with storage space, a van, and time to attend boot sales...
However as the aim is to avoid things going to landfill, does it matter what happens to things given away?
Now that I can't get things from the tip, I'm a great fan of freecycle!
