One of our channels is doing all of 24, Series Five, this weekend, in four segments, I think, commencing at 7pm tonight. We are great fans of the series, and I am a great fan of Keifer Sutherland!
All right you three, fight it out yourselves! I know Donald was Keifer's father and I don't know who was in Kelly's Heroes because I'm not sure I've seen it. I remember Clint Eastwood from Rawhide and then my favourites, the Dirty Harry series ... and I think is still now the Governor of California? We just had four episodes, minus commercials .. another six are about to start but I think almost three hours of TV is enough for me in one go. However, this means I have to watch the six-hour segment tomorrow because in the evening we go onto another segment .... Oooh, it's all very exciting ...
Clint Eastwood and DONALD Sutherland. Wikipedia "Kelly's Heroes is an offbeat 1970 war film about a group of enterprising World War II American soldiers. Directed by Brian G. Hutton, who also directed the 1968 WW II drama Where Eagles Dare, the film is virtually a who's who of Hollywood at that time - in addition to Clint Eastwood and Donald Sutherland, it starred Telly Savalas, Don Rickles, Carroll O'Connor and Harry Dean Stanton with smaller parts by actors such as Gavin MacLeod and Stuart Margolin who would later become famous on television. The screenplay was written by highly-respected British film and television writer Troy Kennedy Martin."
got season 5 for christmas lol, and watched it all over the past few nights. cant wait for season 6 to start in new year along with lost.
We've got five more hours to go tig ... catch up with you in the New Year about it and a good one to you!
Only two episodes to go on 24 and as they take out the commercials on these "runs" it's only 45 minutes each episode so will be finished by 11.30pm. Don't think we'll go to the beach to see Mel C as it doesn't start till 12.30 and I imagine it's windy by the sea! Last year was Bryan Adams. It's free, the local council pays for this each year! So, we'll just go up on deck and watch the firework displays from there! Happy New Year to you all and a healthy 2007. You're probably right about that good digger! All these handsome men ... no, don't like the looks of Arnie, don't like musclemen! [ 31. December 2006, 10:21 PM: Message edited by: Lady of Leisure ]
