We use Google Earth and get 3-D views.

Just for what it's worth, it GE has just been updated on Satellite as my house here now appears and wasn't there within the last couple of weeks. So, whoever couldn't find their house may do so now.

Very interesting Nathan - I had a look at my house. I recognised my old car which I sold at least 8 years ago.

Yay!!! My house was on it!!! But it's obviously not too recent as the sheds aren't in the garden and my circular lawns aren't in place!! But much clearer than Google Earth for here [IMG] [IMG]

Did you go back to Google Earth, BM, as my house here has appeared within the last couple of weeks ... and I'm pretty remote! The area was there before and a few houses but not ours (which has been here since day dot being a "casa antiga".

Ã?£300 Metro!!! God, you're posh in the South East [IMG] My first car was a Ã?£50 Peugeot 205, interior smelled like it had been in a swamp and it came complete with trees growing out of the window seals :D :D :D ( that was only in 2000!!!!)

My old car is outside the house and the place where I work isn't on the map - it hasn't been built yet!
My daughter thinks she recognises herself in the school playground.
    Still good fun though!

On the discussion of maps, the aa site has route maps, all you have to do is type in where you live and your postcode and then type where you want to go. It will come up with a map and written instructions too, also you can get the route reversed for coming back.
It's brilliant and we used it all the time.

Bringing back this thread as lots of updates have been done, here is the latest Google has done of us. We are the house in the red blob on the right and our friends are the red blob on the left ... that's all orange orchards and olive groves between us and we can cycle to them through the orchards in 15 minutes .... it's all dirt tracks barring one small section. :D
