I have just been given a hand made book about my Mother when she was a Nanny in the War.It was written by the kiddies Mum who I think was a Canadian poet. I think it should be published for it's historical content.
Anyone got an idea how I should go about it?
These are a few pic's of it.

How nice Pal to have such a fantastic keepsake from the past.I am not sure how you would go about it,but there must be some information on these things on the World Wide Web.
I have the "Diary of An Edwardian Lady" book and I read it quite often to see what the weather, plants, flowers and wildlife was getting up to long before I was born
Good Luck in you Quest [IMG]

Can you contact your local museum and talk to the archivist? I'm sure they would be interested. It's such a lovely thing to have!

Essential first step is to identify the "Canadian poet" mother. If she has been published and is at all well known, then the interest will be that much greater.

You could also look at Writers and Artists Yearbook in your local library. That will give you addresses of publishers and agents in Canada and any with local or social history interests.

Finding a publisher is hard work, but if I can do it - so can you. Good luck

Wonderful Nick - what a wonderful treasure for you. I would agree with HB - check out with the Canadian writers guild to see if she's known.
