[IMG] I'm so glad you are sorted Windy.. Families will rally round & come up trumps if they can I think... [IMG]
:( I also read the article of the family with the terminally ill child,,, & as you say, doubley heartbreaking for them.. :( As a parent you want the best for your child.. It must be hard enough knowing you can't make your child better... Then to be slapped in the face with that is just awful..!!! :(
 Nick Johnson should be taken out & "shot at dawn".. Even that is too kind ...!!!

Heard an item on the news tonight that someone from another hamper company was going to be helping out the people who've lost out on this fiasco.

Guess all reputable hampers firms must be very worried about the knock-on effect on their own custom for the future.

    Thanks guys [IMG]
I've written to my MP (Julia Goldsworthy)and she's backing other MPs in starting a payment fund. This story won't go away, people are still really angry and rightly so. Hopefully, there's some light at the end of the tunnel for all of us. [IMG]
Here's hoping for a merry Xmas!! [IMG]

[IMG] The Western Daily Press newspaper has also set up a fund as well,,, Soooooo, between them all, it is at least looking a bit brighter for Christmas for everyone now.... [IMG] I do hope so... Keep the pressure on Windy, !!! [IMG] If it wasn't for you I don't think many of us here would have really realised the "full impact" it has had on so many people.... So glad Christmas looks brighter now for you & everyone caught up in it..! [IMG]

via a vis Kleeneeze - I have a regular chap who comes to me and I have bought quite a lot of stuff from him. 98% of it has been more than satisfactory. The other few items were taken back and refunded in full without a quibble.

Only trouble is that I now have another two guys who call so on average I get a catalogue through my door every other week!

Heard on Radio 4 this morning that Halifax/Bank of Scotland are contributing a 6 figure sum to the support fund. Generous? Well maybe - they already got a £34,000,000 payout as secured creditors!

6 figure sum!!!! Pah!! They allowed Farepak to continue trading even though they knew there was no hope of them ever honouring our Xmas orders; while taking 1 million of our money EVERY WEEK to help pay off European Home Retails overdraft   They've only offered money because of the very bad press they're recieving and the fact that thousands of people, including MPs, are going to demonstrate outside their Xmas champagne bash!!!!

    Thanks Leonora [IMG]
    Interesting article [IMG]
I'm one of the lucky ones, who, although relying on the vouchers for Xmas, won't be thrown into Shopacheck loan shark schemes. But it'll only take the cooker blowing up or some such other minor catastrophe to put me up to my neck in the brown stuff now
I'd like to personally thank anyone who puts money into a collection tin for Farepak 'victims'. Granted, nowhere near the trauma of a Tsunami, but heartbreaking for thousands of innocent kids just the same.
