[IMG] Sorry it has taken a while. Here are a few for starters..
Well folks, it turned out to be a superb holiday. I wasnt sure about staying in Hamilton when we left, but it turned out great..!! Our friend & His partner took some time off too& they took us to lots of places, around & about. We did some thing or went somewhere every day just about.
I think I have to say that Niagara Falls was fantastic
The Canadian or Horseshoe falls are the Spectacular ones. The American falls are nowhere near as fantastic. We walked the promenade length from the Canadian falls all along to the commercial centre. Took a trip on ââ?¬Å?The maid in the Mistââ?¬Â boat right up to the falls. The sound is deafening, the spray is soaking, but the power of the falls is wonderful. You can feel the boats engines straining away to stay up by the falls. It is a very humbling experience, you kind of forget the commercial ness of it all & feel quite small & insignificant, compared to the falls & their beautyââ?¬Â¦!!!!!
The view from the Skylon Tower was amazing.!! You could see over to the American side clearly from there & also up river a way from there. The Park gardens there were beautiful & so well maintained

[IMG] The Butterfly Conservatory was a lovely place. There were so many flying around you it was quite magical.

They put feeding plates out here & there,

which enables you too get a good look at them The blues were tatilizing, everyone was trying to get a shot of one but they hardly stop still anywhere. Some people who had brightly coloured clothes on had a few land on them..!!! The most beautiful ones were always the farthest away!!

They had an area where you could see all the chrysalis hanging in glass incubators & newly hatched butterflies making their way in stages, out into the conservatory. Fascinating!!

We Took a horse & buggy ride around the Botanical Gardens as well as walking. It was a good way of doing it as they point so many things out to you. They were certainly well laid out & stocked gardens & so well looked after

Rose Garden again, unfortunately not many roses in flower.

Looking down the Rose Garden. They add plenty of colour.

In fact, that was something I noticed wherever I went, their parks were all so lovely, no vandalism to speak of & beautifully maintained, more like ours used to be, before all the cut backs & changes..!
Will post more pics later, have to upload some..!!
I hope these give a little taste of it all though.. [IMG]

Not being critical, MF, but isn't your new signature a wee bit large! I have that on my screen saver whirly-go-round after you last posted it. Love it!

Here's a little tid bit for you Marley...in your 4th picture, across the top on the right hand side, kind of beside 3 islands, there is a brown blob sitting there...that is a barge that broke free of its ropes almost 100 years ago and was heading towards the falls, the men were rescued but the barge filled quickly with rocks after tearing a hole into it, and its been stuck there ever since...
So look on the right side of the picture where there is a stone colored builing and its to the left of it, before the first island.
