    Hello everyone!

I'm Viv, hailing from lincolnshire, recent mum to my gorgeous baby boy Oscar.

This is the 1st time I've had a garden to be bothered about and I'm fast getting addicted to getting it looking colourfull! I'm not knowledgeable about plants and do buy on a "ohh thats pretty" basis, but so far I've not killed anything off (there is still time and the slugs are having a good try)

I've recently moved into a new build home and our garden is well... can I claim all things green to count as lawn? I have more clover and docs than grass at present lol but my flower border has been attacked and planted and in my opinion is blooming marvellous!

my next area to attack is a communal patch I've only just discovered is actually under my house's deeds oh poop! its now a stunning display of 3ft grass, sticky weed and more docs So I will shortly be taking the fork out and attacking it to at least get it down to soil - I'll post elsewhere for some advice

So thats me and my garden exploits so far :D

well I suppose I'll brave a couple pics of what I've managed to date....
Remember we've started out with scrub and have a pretty low budget!

This is the front garden, this is how it had become before I got fed up of boring shrubs

So a couples hours work and a minor spend at the garden centre and this is what I have now

The turf I got for nothing.... and quickly found out why! its now had a liberal dose of grass seed and I'm grossing my fingers it will grow through. I have some sunflowers seedlings that will eventually be growing up either side of the window and I'm planning on sourcing more planters & some hanging baskets.

Good evening Viv and welcome to the site. The Photinia is the one with the red leaves. Don`t throw any of the shrubs away as you will want them at some point.:D:D:D:gnthb::old:
