I was captivated by fantasia as a child - the music and association was so fantasticly realized. After I graduated as a musician I foolishly went to see the film, it deastroyed all my childhood memories, i thought it was so dreadful.

I agree Waco- I took my own children to see it, and they did enjoy it and have remembered it, but I was very disappointed.

I love all sorts of music depending on what mood im in. But you can't beat the prodigy at full volume to blow away the cobwebs.

Four Season's for me as well, preferably Nigel Kennedy version.
    Beethoven's 5th
Faure's Pavane...transports me to another world
    Delibe's Flower Duet
Wagner's Ride of the Valkeries is soooooo exhilerating
Albinoni Adagio in F minor (Butterflies tv prog.)

Also like Bond & Amici Forever and most of Classic FM TV.

Well there is that - no I found I was driving a lot more agressively listening to heavy metal, than when I was listening to say John Denver. I speed anyway, but put "Bat out of hell" on and I do a fair imitation. :D :D

We must have different ideas about "heavy metal" Fran, I think of "Bat out of Hell" as easy listening but I take your point, I suppose I listen to music most people my age wouldn't. :D

LOL - you and me both.

Mind I think we were lucky being young when rock and pop was young. Better that than just knowing band music in our youth :D I think the only music I really disclike hearing is the kinda rave music if you can call it that, it all sounds the same, whether blasting from a passing car, or on the radio.

A friend of mine met Arthur Brown recently, and spent the night chatting to him!!! She says he's a really nice bloke - not at all weird!

Glad to find some other people have heard of, and like, bluegrass! :D

Have to say, I like most music, so long as it's lively - even the Smashy and Nicey favourite - BTO, you ain't seen nothin yet!

T'other half won two tickets to see Arthur Brown in concert on the IoW a couple of years ago. I'm not so keen so he and a neighbour were going to go but for some reason didn't, so the tickets went to waste! :(

We, but more so t'other half have met lots of music stars over the years as t'other half worked for Sound 70 Productions in Alabama who brought the groups in. Most of them are down to earth folk ... there's just the odd one too big for their boots.

We met Walter Trout a couple of years ago at The Stables in MK. He announced we were in the audience and we were so shocked .. he was dedicating a couple of songs to a friend of ours (who "introduced" us to Trout's music) who had recently died. He was so genuine it was unbelieveable, a night to remember! [IMG] We both had tears in our eyes a couple of times!
