I have been out all day when i returned my neighbour downstairs said that 2 council workers have been to her door as the woman below us has complained to the council that she has beetles from our flowers on the balconys.
Apparently they are coming back on monday to check our balconys, would not care when i was going out this morning i let them in the block.
they did not say anything to me.
Can anyone believe that you would get beetles from pots.

Oh jeez, I can't believe anyone would be petty enough to report it in the first place! I wouldn't worry, my dad's next door neighbour once reported my dad to the council for feeding the birds, after a bit of bread landed on his missus, lol!! They did come and check it out but my dad just said 'tough luck,I wont stop feeding them', and that was the end of it [IMG]

jay this woman is nuts well known to the council i am suprised that they came out for that, iff they come to my door monday will tell them iff they have nothing better else to do with their time than answer to a crazy woman.
Wasting the councils time i guess

I think they have to check out each report just in case, but it will do nothing for the credibility of her complaints, she is just putting another nail in her coffin! ;)

yes dag your right, had problems last year with this woman about my plants called the council and they said they would not come out for such a thing.I would say bees are attracted to my flowers and sometimes moths in the evenings with the lights on but creepy crawlies dont think so somehow.
Its probably all the black plastic bags she has accumulated over the past 4 years in her lounge.

The only "beetles" you might get in pots are vine weevils but they are mainly nocturnal so she wouldn't see them, as you say, it's probably of her own making and wants someone else to blame.

Thanks strongylodon, thought beetles would not be attracted to pots and flowers, she also goes on about ants, i have never seen an ant in this building all the 9 years i have lived here, see them out on the pavements. [IMG]
