I have just logged in after an absence of a couple of months a) due to the computer being monopolised by my other half as he was finishing his finals for his degree and the other being the fact that at long last I have managed to obtain an allotment - hooray! Needless to say it has kept me busy as it is growing a nice line in dandy and couch grass. The soil is heavy clay which I am trying to break down but I have managed to plant some spuds which were donated by other allotment holders and some broad beans on a wigwam made by my own hands!!!! and onions which were already planted but were covered with weed & neglected - they have resurrected well. My little greenhouse is full of tomatoes which I have grown from seed and a couple of cucumbers & courgettes. I think 'I've gone a little mad because of all the seeds I have sown but I have reciprocated and provided the other guys with french beans ans peas etc. I'm hooked I'm afraid and looking forward to reading the posts on this site. Thanks for all your advice I am sure I will be contacting yourselves for advice.
