Just cos I'm a bit nosey like :D

I had a wonderful weekend, went to Birminghams CAMRA Beer Festival and proceeded to *taste* all the ciders :D then went to the pub to compare ;) and then fell home

had a gorgeous day yesterday, tidying up some pots in my yard and planning what I was going to do with them over the winter and nursing one almighty headache (which was naturally nothing to do with the previous night [IMG] )

    What did you all do?

Went to a charity fly fishing competition - got soaked, caught not a thing - took photos for local magazine owned by the wife to be as she is in Belfast visiting family - biggest trout caught was 12lb 7oz - good photo ! Spent Sunday digging out beds at a friends farm - she has seriously dodgy shouilder following car crash 3 years ago and beds haven't been touched since ! - Don't use wheelbarrow to cart away weeds - I use forklift with 2 tonne bucket on it - made four fills - everything from nettles to volunteer oil seed rape

Do you really want to know? Well, as I had to visit A&E on Friday evening with an eye problem I spent most of Saturday and Sunday with a very painful eye, not able to do much at all, and only able to spend a very brief time on GC because I could hardly see and it hurt too much any way! (aaaah) - well you did ask! But it has improved today - because as you see I can read GC ok now. [IMG]

    Glad its better Jjordie.

Me having got the boring (food shop) bit out of the way on Saturday it was gardening most of the day - mowed lawn, deadheaded, potted up, glared at the ground elder, executed some lily beetles, - and relaxed with a beer. Sunday raining outside - so did the inside things I put off til it rains, and then tried to stop it raining inside from a leaking rad - unsucessfully, so relaxed with a beer and dreamed dreams of what I would do to my bathroom upgrader. Didn't help the leak but made me feel better. :D

Less exciting than others, but when I get my motor caravan

You will have to have window boxes on it Fran ;) .

    My weekend ....... Well,

Saturday, Boot sale in AM, visited my father at his small holding for half houe at approx. 1pm then the boring saturday shop. Spent a little time on GC. Wrote out invoices, did books etc etc

Sunday, Got a call from my mum at 9am telling me my dad was ill and she had called an ambulance, so I rushed over there. Paramedic said at the time, it seemed like a mild stroke. Went and fed all the animals at my dads small holding (as they would be his main concern when he came round). Worried most of the day.
He went home at about 4pm and I went to visit them, and they reckon it could have been an allergic reaction that triggered a fit.

Anyway, today, he is as fit as he was saturday (if not fitter), and back to normal. We have come to the conclusion that he had just had an allergic reaction to what he had eaten.

I stayed in and had a drink in the evening to wind down.

A hectic weekend you might say.

Just to add, he had an Indian meal the night before at an anniversary meal for my older brother, and he doesn't eat Indian food usually.

Some of the additives in foods can play havoc nathan

I and many others going by a forum I found, have a bad reaction including irregular heartbeat after consuming monosodium glutomate, which is in many sauces crisps processed foods etc and is very liberally sprinkled as a mouth watering flavouring over chinese foods (which is how I found out) not sure if its in indian foods though

I spent the day nursing a sick headache (literally!) that resulted from taking a new (to me) antibiotic! Just wait till I get hold of my GP!

Also did some laundry which had to be kept indoors as, the moment I opened the back door to hang it outside - the gorgeous sun disappeared and it started to rain! [IMG]
