Greenhouse glass is HOW MUCH?!

    Had to buy a few new panes of glass for my greenhouse and it was �£5 per pane! :eek: I always thought the horticultural glass was cheap...

    106 x 106 mm is about �£5 a pane loofah. When I replaced 3 I paid �£14.89 including VAT and I thought that was very reasonable.

    my hubby got 5 panes of greenhouse glass for �£15 here in northamptonshire.

    Whoops. I just checked my receipt It was �£11.89 here and that included cutting one piece into two gable ends. Sorry Loofah. Looks like you were overcharged.

    Yikes. Its always expensive living in Surrey I guess! Still, it was needed and now I can glaze the greenhouse:) Ahhh, its what the weekend was designed for...

    Horticultural glass was always cheaper because it was not clear, it had a slightly stippled surface.
    I can understand that it may not be cheaper now as when you ask for something specialised they charge over the odds, check if ordinary window glass is cheaper (from an ordinary glaziers supply source).

    that aint bad! i think it is reasonable! times change, things cant stay the same price forever im afraid!

    prices change from shop to shop, never mind scarborough to Woking!
