Thank`s kathy3.Bishop Auckland is a town in Co.Durham.(Land of the Prince Bishops)I actually live in a small village in Bp.Auckland-West Auckland. Our claim to fame is we won the first ever world cup.Well,we did win it twice so were allowed to keep the cup.It currently has pride of place in our local working men`s club.(actually it`s a replica as the original was stolen some yrs back.)Strange people still come and take photographs??
Hope you win at the bingo. :D

Cheers lottielou,i hope they`re as good as last yrs crop.
I gave a few to an aunt who had chopped them up for chilli con carni.Later that day she`d gone to the haidressers complaining about burning fingers. :D
The next time i spoke to her all i got was,
"Those bl**dy chilly`s nearly set my fingers afire!!" :D
    Glad you won Kathy. [IMG]

Thanks Hk, I have about 20 pots of chillis, hot to ones that burn your eyes out by looking at them! The red peppers are seed from supermarket ones.

    They do look good strongy.
I always used seed from supermarket fruit, found it germinated much easier being still moist.

They look great strongy, lovely red ones to. Mine haven't started to ripen yet, just back from hols and was amazed at how much they have all grown though. [IMG] I haven't tried using seed from supermarket ones, think I'll need to give it a try next year.

I suppose the fact that I have a VERY large heated glasshouse to grow them in (courtesy of Weymouth Parks Dept) helps but anyone can grow them. I started them off in early march in a heated propagator. They then got going quickly with a minimun temp of 13c and fed them with a nitrogen feed till the flower buds appeared then a potash (tomato)feed weekly untill now. Some I have never grown before and the Jalapenos ended up in 12in pots and are about 2 1/2 ft high. [IMG]
