My Mulberry tree has severe frost damage. Many of the buds have turned brown and spongy

Is there anything that can be done to rejuevenate the plant this year (its quite well established)

Will it survive a season without a good cover of foliage.

    Hi johnnywas

If frost has claimed a lot of the buds then the tree may put energy into goriwng new shoots from auxillary dormant buds that lie beneath the bark. These are spare buds that the tree keeps in check and concentrates on the normal growing buds. If these normal growing buds are removed or damaged then the hidden buds usually pop through to replace them. Keep the tree watered and add some fertilser to give it a good chance at staying healthy.
