melon & cucumbers

    can you grow melon & f1 cucumbers in same green house not sure if they could cross polinate any advise please

    Id be tempted to give it a try. Although cucs and melons are of the same genus I can't see you ending up with melon flavoured cucs or cucumber shaped melons. (Though who knows, you might be lucky and make a fortune!).
    Even if they did cross pollinate, the effects as far as I'm aware would only become apparent if you save the seed from the fruit and sowed it next year.

    thanks for reply just though maybe male flowers on melon may cause bitter cucs like they do on non f1 s
