network drive q

    hello
    i noticed a new drive with letter q in my computer folder, but not sure what itis.i dont remember seeing it there before and was wondering if anyone had any idea's. i have tried getting into it but not allowing me as its not giving me permision, im running windows 7 home prem 64 bt.

    A quick Google suggests that it's something to do with the latest method Microsoft use to install software. The same Googling suggests that it's nothing to worry about (if a bit irritating).
    Have you installed a version of Office 2010 (a free trial, perhaps?)?

    yeh i installed the office 2010 beta program. but a couple of weeks ago.

    That's what will have done it. You probably didn't notice until recently.
    Don't worry about it -- it's not doing any harm and the only way to remove it involves editing the registry (and if you were happy doing that you wouldn't have needed to ask the question and if you don't know what I'm talking about you lucky....)

    I do hate it when MS do things like this. Sloppy engineering and it worries their users (who pay their wages in the end! GRR
