hi everyone. i'm new. i've recently moved into a new house and planted a Fallopia aubertii (Polygonum). it was growing really well until last week, when i noticed that all the leaves were dead and that around the base of the plant the grass was all brown (in the shape of a semi circle) as if it had been scorched. what was worrying is that this was the best growing plant in the garden!
    can anyone help?

In view of the unusually hot/dry conditions in the UK recently, it may be that it hasn't had enough water ..drying out can cause leaf scorch... it may resurrect itself with some TLC .... M-L
