Compact gardening

    last year I tried compact gardening reason for this to keep the weeds down and this is what it
    looked like. pics were taken in late Oct.

    Wow fancy the garden is doing really well since the last lot of pictures. Any bananas ? Nice mix of leaf shapes and flowers. What is this plant ? I recognise it but can't put a name to it at this late hour :rolleyes:

    its a very rare Iris purple with white stripes.

    pm me and I will send you a clump. I will try and get the proper name for you. RHS

    Sorry to be thick but does compact gardening mean planting plants close together?

    yes Stingo in order to choke the weeds and it works (OOOOOOOOOOOmy back)

    It does look really nice epecially so late in the year and it gives you more time to spend at the lottie,when it stops raining [​IMG]
