Hornbeam pruning

    I have a large hornbeam hedge that needs a big haircut all around. Can I prune it now?

    August is about the best time to trim a Hornbeam hedge, so go for it!

    Titch recommends doing it in July, which I would have said is a bit early, but probably wouldn't do any harm.
