yes we all love the summer season for the early morning sun the late nights and the warmth [IMG] . but if you had to pick a favourite season for walking what season would this be. for me it would be winter  as the sights are stunning, to walk round a lake or forrest in the ice or snow the frost or the fog/mist just cant be beaten . so i would be intrested to know what your favourite season for a sunday morning stroll would be and why?

Hi Ste I agree with plantaholic and mackem on this one nothing better than Autumn stunning colours about, not too cold and masses of leaves to kick about in!

I also like a good old snowball fight and catching Bob with a snowball or two down his trousers :D

It's always nice to see a robin or two sitting on a snow capped post....I just don't like the cold too much nor slipping on my bum on a patch of ice....not nice! :(

I am a temperate person, so I like walking best in Spring and Autumn. Spring because I love to see new life starting up after the Winter - it holds so much promise, and Autumn because I like the colours, berries and the crisp air.

    Impossible to choose.

Walking through woods in the spring is captivating and if there is a carpet of bluebells in front of you it is truely heaven.
Strolling through meadows, dales and country lanes in the summer is just idylic.
Kicking through the autumn leaves is joyous and crisp, frosty winter mornings are enchanting.

I love the seasons, as much as I am moaning about now having to get up for work in the dark, I don't think I could live somewhere withot seasons.
