I personally would steer clear of mirrorgarden.co.uk.
I had a terribel experience with them this year. The plants they sent were a VERY poor standard, they were in transit for a week and would not accept responsibility, give a refund or replacement.
I've now cancelled the rest of the order and ordered the rest from Van Meuwen.
    Time will tell.
I did order some veg plug plants from plant connection and they were excellent in quality and delivery (and price).
    Hope this helps.

kev, if you want a large banana plant you might be better looking for one local.
I hate to think what you would be charged for delivery on a big one.

Oh Hi Pete. Yes I was too worried about mirrorgarden which looks dreadful. You are of course right shipping is always the problem with our wonderful Royal Mail. [IMG]

i'm suprised people have had problems with mirrorgarden, I bought from them a few years ago without any problems at all. They are actually part of J Parkers, if you check the websites you'll see the offers etc are identical. Has anyone ordered from J Parkers and had the same problem??

    Yup!

    Daily Telegraph and Parkers,the same.

Ordered Penstemons last year, the roots were brown (dead) on every plant. The sent a further batch, even worse,if that was possible, plants were limp, and dead.
After a lot of hooing! and haaing! they refunded my money, never again.

That was the second time I had poor quality plants from them, though the Penstemons were totally useless!

Had a bad experience with Van Meuwen last year (delays, poor quality/size of plants) but I don't learn from my mistakes because I'm tempted to use them again for my new garden after looking at their new catalogue. I also tried to use Gardening Express (or garden express I can't remember) but they couldn't even manage to send the plants out so I don't know what their stock is like.)

I've been on the crocus website and it looks really good but I've never ordered from them.

Hi, I bought from Crocus in February, about 14 shrubs and perennials delivery/packaging was excellent they left them where they had arranged they would in the back garden. The only thing I would say is that I have a couple of plants which have not done very well. A Sambucus nigra Eva and an Acanthus mollis which I have e-mailed them about. The plants were not particularly large plants either. Delivery charge was only £5.95 for all the plants including a large Black bamboo.

I love the Vernon Geranium Nursery (well, I would wouldn't I!). I have ordered from them quite a few times, and the plants have always been healthy and well-grown plugs.

They have a fantastic range of geraniums and fuchsias, as well as a number of others.

They send me a beautiful catalogue in the winter, and I drool over it until spring.
