Hi my name is Simon, I have been living in Innsbruck Austria for the last 28 years and I love it.
I have just moved to new garden flat after living in the center of the city, so I will be looking for a bit of advice, I am sure I will find it here.

Its about the same as in the uk, except that lawn grass lies dormant during the winter months, plus the summers can be very hot (30+c and in winter it can get down to -16 or 20) but usually it stays at about -10.

:) Hello Simon and welcome to GC .. it's always nice to have another overseas person.

I'm sorry I won't be able to assist you with your gardening needs as my climate is so different ... but there are many folk here who can do so.

    Enjoy in the meantime.

The garden at the moment has a small lawn area with lots of bushes and roses of various sorts around the outside but it was not looked after very well by the last owners. I also have a small terrace which we can sit out on (when the sun decides to poke its head out) I have placed a couple of large pots out there with lavender, a clematis and a Rosemary plant which had nice blue flowers but is not looking too healthy at the moment though lack of sunshine.
