taming a lavender bush

    Can someone tell me how to prune/tame a lavender bush which is in full flower but flopping all over. Thanks for advice.

    Hi Floris,

    I'm no expert but would it be best to cane it? Not literally :D support it and trim back when flowers have gone maybe [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Lavender does tend to get "leggy" in other words when the lower stems are bare it will never regrow. I would be tempted to take cuttings every few years and start afresh but trimming the top growth will certainly help.
