Hi all, whilst on my travels around the south west this week I noticed a clematis in several gardens & hanging over fences.

each wan was amazing, huge plants with hundreds of soft pinky flowers out now.

I know its a long shot but any idea what this could be? saw the same plant eveywhere!

it's probably Clematis Montana. There are quite a few varieties but most have pink flowers. There is even one that smells, Clematis Montana 'Elizabeth'.

Rubens is the main one, I think - B+Q are knocking them out at 3 for £10 at the mo! A good buy - a lovely plant!

Thanks, its taken 15 years to get to this, unfortunately it wont last forever and every year I fear it will be the last. Therefore I enjoy every minute of it.
